To help orientate you to the Hotel accommodation and Pitlochry itself, we have collated some general information on travelling to the hotel, our domestic arrangements and the local amenities. However, please feel free to email any further queries to bookings@knockendarroch.co.uk

 

TRAVELLING HERE
Our nearest airport is Edinburgh, which is approximately 1 hour south by road.

 

Pitlochry can be reached by car, bus or train. It is just off the main A9 trunk road through Scotland and is a mainline stop on the Citylink and Megabus routes. Pitlochry also has a railway station in the town centre with daily direct trains from London Kings Cross.

 

The Knockendarroch House Hotel is only a 4 - 5 minute walk from the town centre, but a taxi can be arranged to help with luggage.  Please plan ahead as taxis can be difficult to arrange at short notice.

 

Free parking is available at the Hotel.

 

DOMESTICS
Check in is from 2pm to 9pm
Check out is up to 11am

 

BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 10:00hrs

 

DINNER
The Dress code for dinner is smart-casual. Our Dinner menu includes 3 courses and choices on the menu change daily. We serve dinner from 6:00pm to 8:30pm each day and also offer pre-theatre dining from 5.30pm throughout the Theatre Summer Season (29th May to 19th Oct). We can accommodate special dietary requests with a little notice and vegetarian options are always included on the menu. We pride ourselves on sourcing the best quality local and seasonal produce where possible and complement this with a choice of fine wine from our cellars.

 

After dinner, we serve an array of malt whiskies and fine liqueurs in our lounge where you can relax and enjoy the stunning Highland scenery in front of a roaring log fire.

 

THEATRE
We offer complimentary transport for all hotel guests dining at the hotel. Unfortunetly, this only applies to bookings made directly with the hotel and not through third party booking engines such as Booking.com or Laterooms.

 

DAY TRIPS
We offer a pack lunch option for day trips - just book the night before

 

WIFI
Free Wi-Fi access is available in our lounge.

 

PETS
Pets are welcome with prior permission - limited to one pet per room; £10 surcharge applies; strictly no pets in the public areas; no pets to be left unattended at any time in the hotel

 

SMOKING
Knockendarroch House Hotel is a no-smoking hotel.  Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel, including the balconies. 

 

SHOPPING
Pitlochry has an array of small shops on its main street, and the famous House of Bruar is a 15-minute drive.

 

CHILDREN

Regrettably, only children aged 10 and over can be accommodated at the hotel.  Subject to availability, we can offer a z-bed in the room at an extra charge of £35 for B&B and £50 for DB&B.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Knockendarroch has a ground, first and second floor and does not have a lift. Please notify the hotel if you are unable to climb stairs. A ground floor is available for guests with restricted mobililty.

 

 CANCELLATION POLICY
*Cancellations within fourteen days of arrival - deposit fully refundable
*Cancellations within seven days of arrival - charged at 50% of full stay
*Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival and no shows - charged at 100% of full stay

*It is recommended that guests have appropriate travel insurance in place for unforeseen circumstances leading to cancellations.
